GretaEDGINGTONThe Family of Greta Dorothy Edgington, sadly announces the loss of their beloved; mother/grand-mother, on the 8th October 2022, aged 86. Greta was a selfless, caring and loving women who always put her family and friends first. She was devoted to giving back to the community, volunteering for numerous charities and local organisations for most of her life, including; WRVS, Meals on Wheels, The Denningberg Centre, Meath Home, Farncombe & Milford Day Centre, Godalming Liberal Democrats, St John's Church (Farncombe), Godalming History Society, The Mill Medical Practice/The Square Medical Practice. She was also well known for her 14 year paper route in Pepperharrow Road, which claimed her the title of "Super-Gran" in the local papers. A shining light to friends and family. Her passion for nature and its preservation, her selflessness, generosity, resilience and strength were an inspiration to us all. An avid gardener winning numerous local gardening awards, growing everything from beautiful flowers to an array of delicious foods. We would like to call out a special thank you to Broadwater Lodge Care Home, who have taken amazing care of her over the last 6 years.
